IBM has announced plans to acquire Cognitus, a leading SAP S/4HANA services provider known for its industry-specific, AI-powered solutions. The acquisition aims to bolster IBM's digital transformation capabilities by integrating Cognitus' SAP expertise and software portfolio with IBM's existing services.

Cognitus brings specialized tools including CIS-GovCon for government contracts, AI-powered CLM for contract management, and Real-Time Billing solutions. The deal positions IBM to accelerate SAP transformations through AI innovation, though financial terms remain undisclosed.
